Painting Day at Red River Primary School in Manenberg

The teachers at Red River Primary have been so inspired by the Art Room that we renovated in November 2011, that they also wanted their classrooms to be re-painted. Rock Girl Foundation initiated a paint day with the help of family and friends and some paint being donated. We re-painted a couple of the classrooms with some new fresh colours and with some beautiful graphics on the walls. Here is a few images of the team painting a Grade R classroom, led by Sam Scarborough.

Dream Pillows Made by the Girls at Red River Primary

Sam Scarborough and India Michelle Baird did a workshop with the Grade 6 girls in making these beautiful dream pillows. The girls wrote their dreams on a piece of paper and then inserted it into the pillows that they made. See some of the dreams on paper below.
